I think that it represents an unpaved e.g. dirt road. It's the road that goes away from the Stein Bruch yard in the picture at the top of the page.

I like the smooth transition to the snow rather than just a tunnel and it's snowy on the other side of it.

Hey, all snow-transition tunnels are actually gaining height. :P

And the snow-transition at Borgarnes actually has two tunnel-transitions; one from grass to dry rock, and one from dry rock to snow. :P
