I was gonna start making my first Standalone map called Turkey And I need you guys to give me the names of the cities in Turkey and I need help with changing the road models in prefab Please And then I will Get my map Out for you guys to play around :)

Need tips on the Prefabs on road sections and ai traffic

When map mods come into mind ProMods is always the Number 1 map mod of Ets2 :)

Please work step by step. Easiest way is adding the city defs.

If you have packed the base.scs file go to //def/city . In this folder has every city its own file. Look around in these files and look carefully how they are built up. Then copy one and rename it to nthe city you would like to. If you made the seperate city files you need to add them in the city.<yourmod>.sii file (you can find that in the //def folder). It is a copy of the city.sii file (you probably have to make) with all the cites which are in the original file removed and exclusively the cities you've added.

You also need to make a country def. Thsi works the same way as you have to add cities but then every file is called something with country instead of city.

Changing road layouts on roads and prefabs is mainly model-related and not neccesary to know when you start one of your (probably) first maps. Focus on the landscaping first, that's way mroe important. Road layouts will follow.

Remember that the academy section is supposed to learn things to make, not to get them. Otherwise we would have made a marketplace instead.

Go to ETS2's steam installation directory and extract the def.scs with the SCS Extractor (Google for it) :)

Go to google maps and look at Turkey. They do have the city/town/village names on their maps, as well as the road layouts. 8-)

This is my first map that I've Done but I will I will inform you guys on when I update the map and then I will get it out for Alpha Release :)

I Searched it on google maps and there's a lot of city names in Turkey Il do a few and then Il add more in the future updates of my map :D

And one thing it will work with other mods but not the map mods

Of course it will work with truck/trailer mods :) and start with simple roads and go into more complex stuff.

By the way... If he uses assets from ProMods and publish his work to public, it is actually illegal, isn't it?

It would if he packed those models in his map and reuploaded them. But since the main ProMods file is locked this is impossible, so if he used ProMods assets his map would require ProMods which is not illegal ;)
