Ok, so here is the picture of the Slovenian license plate in game: And this one is from RL: You can see that the font just isn't correct. AFAIK they use Helvetica font.Because I'm nowhere near a pro in Slovenian number plates, would you like to tell me what's wrong with them exactly and what font they actually use? Then I'll see what I can do about that.
My realistic number plate mod
SLOVENIJA
The font is not 100% because the Slovenian plate font is not a public font. If it was I could fix it rather quickly.
If you look closely you can see that what I did is as close as possible to the original plate as is doable without having the font.

I am Dutch living in New Zealand and I speak EN DE SE FR
OK then, since it's so popular, I can do that. But I can't change the format of the number plate for a specific amount of vehicles, it's either all or nothing. I wouldn't recommened to change all of them as that might look unrealistic. But I'll tweak the mod to the numbers you mentioned.uk_daf_fan wrote:It would work as a lot of truck companies run personalised plates which can make the truck appear older than it is.
I'll have to agree on you, it did take me some time to get the font sorted out. Since I'm a curious person, I'll see what I can do about this.ScuL wrote:The font is not 100% because the Slovenian plate font is not a public font. If it was I could fix it rather quickly.

I see a lot of experienced numberplate modders here, that brings me onto a question of mine. Dutch plates.
I am very specialised in Dutch numberplates, and I think the fact they display trucks with a B (00-BXX-0) and cars with G to Z (00-GXX-0 - 00-ZXX-0) is pretty good. But, there are some things that are not realistic. I don't know by any of these if it's hard to avoid.
1. Incorrect characters. While not using vowels (AEIOU) is a good idea, the letters C, M, Q, Y and W are only used on special occasions. Not on standard vehicles' numberplates.
2. More combinations. The current combination is 00-GXX-0. This combination has only been used from 2008 to 2012. The rest of the combinations are for cars: from DB-01-BB, DB-BB-01, 01-DB-BB, 01-GBB-1, 1-KBB-00, and since this year GB-001-B. I would like to see if it's possible to add those combinations.
If you are totally awesome, everything starts with B (no vowels so B is first) but the first character for normal cars is D (that would FI make DB-01-BB). Numbers "00" are not valid until 01-GBB-1, 00-GBB-1 is also possible. The final number, (B-1<-) goes from 1 to 9, avoiding 0. The 00-XXX-0 combination went from 01-GBB-1 to 99-ZZZ-9.
0-XXX-00 applies the same, only turned around. The 0 is not valid as first number, the 00 is valid as last number. Due to import plate reasons, this combination only has the begin characters K, S, T, X and Z. So it's like 1-KBB-00, 1-SBB-00, 1-TBB-00, 1-XBB-00, 1-ZBB-00.
The newest (XX-000-X) carries characterwise the same limitations as 00-XXX-0, so it's GB-001-B to ZZ-999-Z, only the "000" as middle numbers is not available, so 001 to 999.
On all of these combinations apply the following rules: begincharacter B is only for trucks and commercial vehicles, CMQY are not valid, neither are the vowels (AEIOU). Normal cars' plates go from DX-XX-XX to ZX-XX-XX (or apply another combi mentioned above.)
For trailers, the OX-00-XX combi that is currently used, minus CMQY characters, are fine as they are.
Exceptions for all combinations are the characters "SS" and "SD", for earlier mentioned reasons.
For trucks, only BX-XX-00 and 00-BXX-0 are used.
It's complicated, but I hope you can do something with it

I didn't know France needed a tweak in it's number plate system, but I've done exactly the same as you did with Italy's number plates in my mod.godzyla wrote:I've worked on that kind of accuracy for three countries.
UK, Italy and France
Also realised that Dutch plates needed a fix too. This point can be easily achieved, I'll exclude those characters.Loekie5500 wrote:1. Incorrect characters. You guessed it, it is a bit of a struggle to achieve. I'll play around to see what I can do because SCS was able to make different formats for Polish plates.Loekie5500 wrote:2. More combinations. I've corrected the number plates myself in 1.96. I also know how the system works
(And I know some friends that collect license plates )

Ah, well, thanks! I guess making different generations as I mentioned above wouldn't be possible?MandelSoft wrote:I've corrected the number plates myself in 1.96. I also know how the system works

I think you can specify multiple patterns, yes, so I it is possible.
