Please download again with another browser. Also make sure you follow the tutorial. http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3852

Er, for v1.97 manual extraction (and that tutorial is obsolete btw) is not required. There is a small .exe file that you double-click on and it will extract/combine the files automatically! :)

Winrar doesnt work.
7zip you have to open the files inside the program. So first start the program then go to your downloads. Then open them.
Not open them from the download map itself.
And make sure you run the program as administrator.

Actually, the executable (.exe) file requires 7Zip. You do not have to manually extract. You can of course still do that, but it isn't necessary...

I tried updating with 2 browsers, the manual files come out with .001, .002, .003, and .004 extensions...

The self-extracting file always comes up with an error message.

You need to have 7-zip installed in order for the self-extractor to work

I installed 7-zip and tried from there and it says "unexpected end of data" and "cannot open the file as [7z] archive.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something...

Either the files have corrupted during the download or are otherwise incomplete
You have all 4 parts?

I do. 1 of them lets me open it but says that I cannot open it as an archive..

I think they've been corrupted while downloading.
