Hey guys,
Finally a real FB map update. At the moment I'm enjoying a deserved vacation and ScuL is also having time off now so that is why we are lacking updates. But vacantion or not, if I have WiFi access I am able to do some stuff. The coming days I have been busy planning new roads for version 2.
I added the background which we will be using in the map editor (NOTE: It's a rough plan, we can still change everything but this is baseline I want to stick to)
So what are we going to make??
First of all the south part can be ignored. France and Spain is being made by Kutchek and Lolsmurf and big chance that they will change a lot since that part of the background has been planned by me before they joined the team.
So what are we really going to make??
To start we will add 1 city to Norway (Trondheim)
1-2 cities in Finland (For now only Tampere has been planned)
Tallinn, Tartu, Haapsalu, Narva and Panü have been planned in Estland.
Riga, Daugavpils and Liepaja have been planned in Latvia.
Vilnius, Klaipeda, Kaunas and Panevezys have been planned for Lithuania
Pskov has been planned for Russia
Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford have been planned for Ireland
Belfast and Londonderry have been planned for Nothern Ireland (UK)
We will aslo make several new harbours as well.
Planned are:
Saßnitz (Germany), Portsmouth (UK), Holyhead (UK) and Fishguard (UK)
Also the Isle of Man will be added (Port and economy, possibly even a garage)
We will aslo improve SCS parts of the map in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany (adding signs etc.)
If we have time I also want to make some other changes to the SCS map:
Adding the complete A7 motorway from north to south in Germany.
Fixing the Ruhrgebiet (Germany) by extending the A3 and change positions of motorways.
Fixing roads around Nürnberg (extending A6 and moving Nürnberg left of all the A9).
And if there is really a lot of time left I want to add my hometown in the netherlands (Apeldoorn) and extending the A50 + changing the A1/A50 intersection. Also offering a road to Groningen for an extra fast north/south connection.
So that was most of it for now. As said before we can still change everything but I think this is the main baseline of what we are going to do.
