I know about that tunnel. There is a reason why you are not allowed to walk or bicycle through it, because there are high levels of carbon dioxide in it that are trapped in there and you can faint of it.

Found these blue and white ones in Spain (Descarga tunnel, Belate tunnel)

But I'd say they aren't always used.

Not used in Sweden unless there is an obstacle. They are never placed like in Norway along the entire tunnel. Though there is always signage before the tunnel with the name and length of the tunnel, like this.

In addition to Deus' post, here are no markers inside tunnels in Lithuania, only the tunnel sign before entering the tunnel

As for Norway always having those obstruction markers is not quite true. It's not very common to use in highway tunnels for instance.

Picture from "Rælingstunnelen", which is located here

They are more commonly used in older tunnels (which we have a lot of) where light conditions are poor and the road is a lot more narrow. So I guess you could say they are used in low standard tunnels. The purpose of those white and black markers is to guide you through the tunnel. They do ofcourse have reflectors as with most signs. A lot of our tunnels do not have that clean surface on the wall, which may also be a reason for why the obstruction markers are used. The uneven wall surface can make dangerous situations if the driver does not pay attention to the change in width.

This is a very good example of sign usage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dngS6cTZZws
Or this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNkJr0NibT0

Just for the record, we do have some nice tunnels in Norway as well! Take Lærdalstunnelen for instance! It's our longest tunnel, at about 25 km!

ROMANIA
Romania uses these signs when entering in the tunel (this one is on the Bicazului canyon) :

NOTE: Some signs have a "Neiluminat" tag, which means NO Light In The Tunnel.

Yes please, only from inside the tunnels if any specific markings etc
Signage before entering the tunnels is already taken care of, allthough if the signage is wrong please make a bug report

I will take some photos this week, cause the autobahn tunnels in Austria look most the same inside, cause a lot of them got reworked for high safety :)
