And by the way, yes, I am a number plate nerd too...
At least I'm not the only one ;), you're right, there's the pre-2007 Ford Mondeo and Skoda Fabia Mk1 etcetera...

License plates and cars can't be controlled that easily. At least you can't assign specific plates to specific cars...

You could extend the range of them though, I tried it this summer (didn't work, but you get my point).

Yeah, what I'd like to see most in ETS2 (amongst other things) is licence plates on the truck staying the same when you move them from garage to garage (or just drive them) and the plates on the trailer being the same as those on the truck.

Not in Denmark, I don't know how it is in other countries
Truck has it's own specifc plates (eg NK 88 445 - black on yellow) as well as the trailers (eg UZ 55 42 - black on yellow)

And, even though it's not in the ETS2 world yet, neither does Greece. WE have special plates for trucks, they are always yellow, they never have the EU stars and GR underneath and always have EK at the beginning (e.g.: EKA 6679) whereas the trailers are whiteand they have the EU GR bit and they always start with P but their structure is very different (e.g.: P 30698(4); not sure if they have 5 or 6 digits)

The Netherlands has the same, our trucks always start with the letter 'B' colored yellow with black letters, the trailers always start with the letter 'O' also colored yellow/black. Also vans and small trucks always start with a 'V' colored yellow/black, and the trailers of cars have the same license plate as the towing vehicle, only this one is colored white/black. If that trailer is heavier then 3500 kg, it has its own licence plate, colored yellow/black and starting with a 'W'.
Now enough about license plates, let's get back to Scotland ;)

Okay I guess it's just us .

But I'd still like to see it for UK trucks ;).

The range stops at 12 and 62 because ETS2 was released in 2012. I can easily update it to include 13, 63 and 14, 64 ..
