Don't you guys have more important things to worry about than a name of an airport?

Hmm... Trameri, EuroGoodies, LKWLog, ITCC, Tree-ET inside the city, and Steinbruch and eAcres outside the city.ZelvaCZ wrote:Well, seriously.. How many companies is Akureyri going to have?
I agree that's a bit... well... high. But, lets not forget that;
- Akureyri is the "capital of the north", by far the biggest city on the northern coast, and basically the biggest city in Iceland that's not in the Reykjavík region.
- There's no other cities near Akureyri. All activity and companies will have to be assigned to Akureyri. (Normally you can spread companies over several towns)
- Two of the seven companies are outside of town, but assigning them to the nearest villages would only clutter the world map, and give very limited cargo jobs in those villages.
- Iceland is far away from any other European country. It does need some companies to generate enough jobs to attract people to go there. Nobody will pass Iceland on their way, they'll either have a job *to* Iceland or a job *from* Iceland.
- It's still smaller than Reykjavík, which has 6 companies inside the city, plus a farm and quarry outside of town. Reykjavík is also notably wider in setup and covers a larger area than Akureyri.
A few more shots from Akureyri WIP:
