Would it be perhaps used as a cut-through to get to Ukraine or other points to the southwest? I still see point in having those roads in-game some day if that's the case.

Looking at Google maps again I see your point. There wouldn't be much use trying to build from Rezkene. Daugavplis though is most certainly something to look forward to.

Sadly, it won't comes. Plans has changed, since I have joined ProMods development team and completelly picked up "EuroMir" project development on myself.
1) Space issue
2) "Overcrowded map" issue (some users don't like this issue)

Instead, I already made Tukums in v2.1, and will built latvian coastal roads P124 and P131 with Kolka and it's farm / fish company.
Tukums will get little upgrade with garage in next version, since I built road P131.

Slightly less vegetation on the side of the road and more below the trees and into the forest would pull it from great to perfect.
