I've been playing with this map mod for a bit and have been enjoying it. However, I did find a couple of issues.

Traffic is disappearing at this roundabout out east beyond Fresno, California.

Code: Select all

(sec-0026+0000);-100740;45.7676;142.687;2.97389;-0.0561865
The console was throwing errors about prefab <-> road connections. It seems there is an issue with the T-intersection prefab itself.
There is also missing terrain at the corners of the prefab and some floating terrain nearby.

In Barstow, California, there are some barrels buried in the ground on I-15 in the eastbound direction at the eastern interchange.

Code: Select all

(sec-0025+0003);-96391.7;34.4967;12404;-1.48425;-0.0520471
I haven't noticed any major issues that would prevent me from continuing using this mod.

I have tried this mod and there are several issues I found: first, v1.3.2 freezes just after the runaway truck ramp on the I5, then when I moved onto an older version because of that issue (v1.3.1), I find out that there are holes in the road in Arizona (forgot the location), and when you are entering Las Vegas. Once you get sucked into the hole in Vegas, you have to disable the mod to get all the roads back whether you try to get your truck to a repair shop or not. Please do fix the freeze on the 5 or else I cannot use this mod.

Well, considering ProMods is not going to add more content/states to this map, and this map is being retired: R.I.P. ProMods ATS and Project West. I guess there was no real intention of having ProMods produce a map for ATS.

I don't really understand what you're talking about. Just because they don't want to add new states for obvious reasons, (what you think would happen with a state they made when SCS does eventually the same state in a DLC?) surely that doesn't mean they won't add new content. As far as I understood they want to enhace and extend the content in the already existing states everytime SCS drops a new one.

Well, that only means that ProMods for ATS will only grow at SCS's slow pace. ProMods could always start east and go west, less chance of having to remove their work on a state when SCS releases that state.

I don't see how they could do that. How they would connect their east coast with the vanilla map? Through C2C? I doubt that would happen (Though I wouldn't mind it myself, C2C is a tolerable placeholder map). But either way Project West wasn't planning to add new states in the first place, only extending the existing.

They could use rail ports. Its possibly something that SCS is planning for New Mexico since they figure some people aren't going to get all the states they release in order.

Where is it stated this mod is being retired?
