Okay, I understand. I confirm this is a problem in ProMods 2.26 using OpenGL. For some reason the ProMods package is overriding the shadow TOBJ file for the Low Bed Semitrailer. This problem has been mentioned before in this thread: Truck with a black "tray"?.

In dx9 mode there's a palliative for a similar problem, maybe you could give it a try? Disable the fake shadows (generic dark areas) of trucks and trailers.

I have recorded the problem, and recommended a solution, in our bug tracking system, bug #11156. Hopefully this can be fixed in the next ProMods release.

That setting does indeed fix the problem for trailers seen while driving, but unfortunately it does not fix the shadows in the Trailer Browser window or the trailer preview images in the Freight Market window, so it is a partial fix.

For everyone's awareness, I have identified the problem in ProMods 2.26 for both the Low Bed trailer and certain MAN TGX trucks having a solid black box for a shadow when using OpenGL. The problem is indeed caused by ProMods and the problem does not exist when using DirectX. The same trailers and trucks in the base game do not show the problem. I have recorded the two issues, and recommended solutions, in our bug tracking system.

Bug #11156: Low Bed trailers (all cargos). The box shadow can be seen in-game while driving, in the Trailer Browser window, and in the trailer preview images of the Freight Market window.


Bug #11157: 6x2, 6x2 Taglift, and 6x4 chassis configurations for MAN TGX trucks. Other chassis configurations do not show the black box shadow. The box shadow can be seen in-game while driving, in the Truck Browser window, in the truck preview images of the Quick Jobs market window, and while inside a MAN dealership to purchase a truck.


Hopefully these two issues can be fixed for the next ProMods release.

Same trailer and trucks has a black square under it. Is this a bug?

That's happening to me too sometimes ... I am not sure if it's something that has to do with SCS too but that "shadow" was mentioned a couple of times.

This is caused by some shadow .tobj that don't belong to ProMods and the Bug should be solved for 2.30, bith DirectX and OpenGL shadow bugs.

Both fixed in 2.26. (#11156/11157)
