I've always downloaded in an empty folder. Like when the 2nd set is not working I delete the whole set and download the 3rd set of files in a fresh folder. Probably I've tried this way up to 7 times up till now.
I think there is something wrong with the main 7 files. I can unpack the tcp/test files without any hassle.

There indeed is something wrong, you get the .7z.001.7z file extension for no obvious reason.
Do you change the filenames when downloading? What does your 'save as' windows look like when downloading a file?

Remove the last .7z.
I don't understand why Mac adds it. Maybe you'll even need to download the mod on a Windows PC, extract it, copy it to a flash drive, copy from the flash drive to you mod folder on the Mac.
