I agree with ScuL, def file is not enabled/mounted so far we can see. Make sure file is in same mod folder.

guys. I have created and downloaded the def file 4 times now. last night with Rusmap selected. it is in the same mod folder as everything else. it is activated in my mod manager and in the correct place according to all suggestions. last night I even extracted file to the mod file (usually I drag and drop, still does the same thing and is what I've always done with mods for other games and this one). I will try and take pictures tonight so you can see.

Yes we need some screenshots because despite what you say, your game log shows you are still not loading a correct def file. The filename should be

and if you right click on the file and click on 7-Zip > Open archive it should look like this: https://puu.sh/wTv9k/198fbbcef2.png

Ok thanks for the advice. I will see if it is named right and if it shows like suggested. If I can't manage to take a screen shot then I will take the pic with my phone and attach it here. Seems like something has gone wrong somewhere with the def file, by the look of it then.

hey guys. I think I may have notified the problem. I have been watching a few videos on YouTube to see if I did something wrong somewhere and I've noticed that people seem to have the def as an scs file, whereas I have the def as a folder (which is how it downloaded) do you think this is why it may not be showing that I have the def?

Maybe yes, but you could tried it with other browser than this browser you are using?

ok. I have used Mozilla. So I will try chrome and explorer when I get home and see if that makes a difference. will also add pictures if the result is the same.

update. it would seem that Mozilla was the one messing everything up. the game is now working. thank you so mucj for the help!
