I don't suppose templates exist for some of the fancier trailers like what jazzycat has in his mod, with more lights, lowboys, quad axle, etc? stuff not in the original game.

I am trying this today but the .psd template files wont copy or open into the paint.net. it says not enough memory to paste if I copy and it does not recognize the file type when I try to load it in.
ok I think problem was the file I tried your truck template link and those worked, then I got another template pack from one of the mod sites with more trailers and they seem to work.
new question I finished my trailer when I import skin to studio it says image dimensions are not in the power of 2, may cause game to crash. and it does crash in job screen. no idea what this means though.

2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, or 4096 pixels.
You need the PSD plugin for Paint.net to open/save PSD files:

yes, there is a box you need to uncheck when you set your resolutions, otherwise it will change on its own when you enter the other value. that's what was causing my issue.
