Indeed at winter the snow is there, but in the time the game takes place (late summer i think?) the snow isn't there (i think). I could be wrong on this tho, not sure about Icelandic weather and summer temperatures.

That photo was taken in September, 2012. That's a rather late-summer time I should think!

Even in Scotland the snow doesn't completely melt throughout summer sometimes.

@Abraxas, the thing I don't like about the physics is it seems to act like a speed limiter rather than actual slippery snow. In real life you could drive quicker but slide all over the road, the physics need to be able to make you want to drive slowly rather than limit your actual speed. So therefore I find it unrealistic and something only SCS can fix.

With ProMods 2.0 we want to give you premium quality and sometimes that means redoing things that were already done. Thanks to SCS we have nice template sign system, but Icelands signs were created before it was available. Here are some new templates for Iceland and one totally new thing: led weather board. These are quite common on Iceland and inform driver about conditions on mountain passes and other dangerous areas before getting near them.

They will be placed in whole Iceland. Unfortunately they can't show real time weather. We can set temperature range for whole sector, not specific area and we can't make dynamic texture that would be connected to game temperature. Also game doesn't simulate wind, so direction, speed and wind gust speed will be only decoration. Temp will be close to what you see on your dashboard.
