Trondheim is the only city that is going to be added, what i remember atleast. The distances between every city else further north is just too long compared to the original game, the DLC has it's exceptions though, especially the road between Szczecin and Gdansk. But still...
To Nico or one of the other guys: The distances between cities in Sweden are a bit off for me compared to the map. Yes, you might think that you've edited the distances (you get it) and adding cities isn't needed + it takes a lot of time to build (which is true, unfortunately). But think about this: You did it well in Denmark, same goes for Finland (actually). But what i mean is that there's a great website to check different driving distances between cities (linked below):
http://www.worldatlas.com/travelaids/dr ... stance.htm
There you can see what i'm talking about. Here below is a list of distances that are off:
Malmö-Gothenburg is 271 km.
Malmö-Jönköping is almost 292 km.
Malmö-Kalmar is 283 km.
Södertälje-Karlstad is almost 273 km.
Every distance else seem fine. Note however that these distances are not the exact numbers but i don't think it matters in this map scale
I'm not saying this just to get redirected to "can you please add city xyz?" but some extra cities would solve the problem for me.
For example, Växjö lying not too far eastwards from the E4, Halmstad lying alongside the E6/E20 and Kristianstad lying alongside the E22.
I really hope that you understand what i mean. And... i've got nothing else to comment

I dont get your point. We created a background and cities are roughly put on the right places. Ofc their are off... did you ever see the map scale? A traffic junction is 3-4 km long.... how should you ever get real distances??

I dont really get your problem, maybe someone else does.
Am I developing at the moment?

What can I say... Stockholm looks really better than in this or older versions of map. I saw plan of the city, there's some incorrections, but city now is much closer to the reality. BTW, Linköping looks really nice. Good work guys!

Completely understand what you mean. Btw i wasn't commenting this as an problem, it was just an suggestion :P
What i'm talking about here is that when i am doing my "private" modding (only do that sometimes though) i am not only placing cites when it comes to the size, but also the distance compared to the original map. No, i'm not an noob in modding trying to add an city extremely far away or trying to add an suburb in Berlin  but i'm definitely not as good as you and the team, or to better say that, you are unbeatble in quality. Be glad though that i'm not jealous at you guys
Btw let's ignore this stupid conversation. Keep on modding Nico ;)

The southern approach of the E4 is completed!

Now I still need to work on the inner city, both functionally and visually.

Fantastic work man! But you hav to think on that Kapellskär is the largest harbor for trucks and trailers. About 80% of the cargo goas here to Nådendal at Turku.
Värtan and Silja Line has about 10% and Viking Line in Stadsgården about 10% mostlee only trailers without a truck. Also Nynäshamn to Gdansk have a lot of cargo traffic. When you build the city of Stockholm you have to now that there is a 12 meter restriction therefore are not 18 meter trailers aloud to drive there only on certain streets or leads. If you want breafing or tips about truck traffic in Stockholm makes me very glad if I can help. I can (if you want) and it's OK to send my email address in a PM. :?

@mandelsoft The new plan for Stockhom,.............

This is not a criticism of your work (which is excellent) but some suggested corrections so that it is as similar irl as possible with respect to the map's scale factor.
Seeing that you have added the exit from the south to Söderledstunneln the right lane. This is wrong then exit must be in the left lane and go under Essingeledens trail entrance .

Look at this picture http://s1331.photobucket.com/user/oldma ... b.jpg.html

Your intentions might be good, but the thing is that you basically want a 1:1 map of Stockholm, which is in light of the game's limitations impossible to fit in our map. I can't make the Essingeleden 2x4 lanes, because I can't connect it to the ramps downstream. I can't make a 12m truck restriction zone because there's no in-game code that allows me to do that. I can't make the exact models for the Södralinken because Blender doesn't allow me to edit prefabs (AKA, ramps and intersections). I can't recreate Stockholm to every single street because there's no room for it. I can't replicate every single building from Stockholm because I don't have the models, time or space on the map.

Furthermore, I also keep in mind things in mind most people wouldn't think about. Things like slope and curve restrictions (nobody likes steep slopes and sharp curves), available prefab types and element scale. Because in the end, everything has to fit properly...

I'm already doing my best to make the best representation of Stockholm on this map. Heck, Stockholm will be better represented that any other city in this game! Living in the Netherlands, I know how poor Rotterdam and Amsterdam are represented and in Belgium, Brussels is no difference either. Be glad that we are even taking effort to get realism to this level!

If you want to improve the map, why don't you try it yourself? We can always recruit some good new mappers ;)

Best,
Maarten
