What exactly attract you in Texas? It's huge, but pine forest only in the little piece of east part of state and along mexican gulf. In the rest of state, especially along the freeways, the same desert first, endless prairies after and swamps on the border with Louisiana...

Utah and Colorado are the next two I hope they release, then Oregon and Washington.

I decided to make a little poll for fun: after the release of New Mexico DLC, which state would you like to see next?

Link to vote: https://goo.gl/t2mEBX
EDIT: Now the poll is integrated in this page also. Thanks to tkk7406 for it!

As for myself, before the announcement of New Mexico I would have chosen Oregon to have a bit of variety landscape-wise. But now I'd rather have Utah to avoid having a "thin" strap of land from Portland to Roswell.

You can leave your opinions here too
Yes, I agree with you on Utah, if for no other reason than the real life truck speed limit and the car speed limit being 85mph, the fastest speed limit in the nation. It would be great if the state after Utah could be Oregon.

Utah has to be added. In fact, Utah would've been better to add than NM. Because Utah already has 2 states with a gateway to it (Nev, and Arizona). New Mexico will be very isolated when it's released, as the only state with a gateway to it would be Arizona. Another good state to add (if Utah is the next) would be Colorado. Once Utah and Colorado are added, the map will be a giant square with no isolated states.

Next DLC = New Mexico together with 1 or even 2 another states, release in September, why not ?
It's been now too long just for one state and no company would release any product during the summer holidays.
SCS likes to surprise us all (steering wheels , doubles, heavy pack...) and they will show that they won't need 50 years to complete the whole USA map...

It's only been a bit more than half a year after the map rescale, so they're not off schedule for a new state DLC yet at all.

Good joke, but I would bet on the State of Utah. Following the blocked highways of the State of Arizona there are two indicatives of currency between states (landmarks). It may be an East Egg indicative of the next DLC. The same happened with the State of New Mexico. When manipulating the Map Editor, there were three (or four) DLC's in which changes could be saved since the ATS 1.4 issue, which were Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico DLCs. So New Mexico was already set when the DLC Arizona was launched. It was an East Egg indicative of DLC within the Map editor. In the state of Arizona, you have these demarcation plaques in the State of Utah, so I would bet on a DLC Utah for the next extension of the map!

There's one of these signs north of Winnemucca Nevada welcoming you to Oregon so I'm not 100% sure that indicates their next choice, however I would agree they'll probably go with Utah next because it makes geographic sense. As well in the Arizona DLC description they mention it being a corner state, "Enjoy the sweeping, ever changing scenery of this corner state." and now they're working on New Mexico, one of the other corner states. This would then lock the next two states in as Utah and then Colorado if I'm correct.
