Cork is about to have some very big road building projects start soon IRL. Redesignating the Ring Road as Motorway and a new Motorway heading to Limerick (M22) and an upgrade of the N28 to become M28 from Cork to the port of Ringaskiddy that connects with Roscoff in France.

I would prefer to wait before adding Cork.
All those projects happening in Cork won't be completed in over 10 years minimum (maybe except the ring road redesignation). I am from Cork and would love even a basic effort put there so I can start a new profile and have my home garage set where I live

They’re all due for completion by 2027. There is a consultation to bring the works forward so that there is a finish date of 2025 at the latest mich like the acceleration in Road Building and Infrastructure Works we saw after the financial crash.

So by the time Cork is developed on (Bevause these things are not done at the flick of a mouse) it wouldn’t be long before it needs rebuilding again.

If only there was a large resource, like a Web Based interface, lets call it a Website where by the Irish Roads Authority (Who I’ve mentioned before on this thread that I have worked for) would have all this information published. Nah, that would be absolutely crazy!

I’ve not said I don’t want Cork on the map, it should be, but you’re asking developers to develop something that is going to change in the near future, they’ll then have to rebuild it very shortly after its implemented.

yes and roadworks have never been delayed or taken longer than the estimated date in the history of time.
governments lie about that sort of thing all the time - for an axample a project in my area that was scheduled for 8 weeks took 3 years to complete.

I reckon that, if Cork is developed and released in the near future, a rebuild will not be required. The M20 (Cork-Limerick) is only in Phase 2 (Option/Route selection). The N40 is not being upgraded to motorway status at the moment (as far as I am aware), despite plans to do so. The N22 (Northern Cork Ring Road) has been scrapped (according to TII). Even if these projects were to be completed after ProMods had developed Cork, they wouldn't affect the current road network to the point it would have to be rebuilt.

As mentioned, it will take 5-10 years for all these projects to be completed; I'm sure it does not take that long to develop a city as small as Cork if a developer decides to build it (unless it is abandoned during development). And because the existing N22, N40, N8, N20 and N28 would remain mostly the same (N20 and N28 will most likely be detrunked), as I'm sure the future M20 and M28 will be connected to these roads in some way or another, why wait? ;)

Wow, Uist looks absolutely great, taking those narrow country roads with passing places and passing these small villages on the coast reminded me a lot of my trip to northern Scotland, thanks for that Qixiwi !

I wish there could be a rework of Skye with such standards someday, the road to Kyle of Lochalsh and Eilean Donann castle, Skye bridge and port of Uig look super realistic, but it'd be so great to enjoy more of the islands' fabulous scenery with Sligachan, Cuillin, and the smaller road from Portree to Uig passing through Storr and then through Quiraing; rather than the main existing road which kinda misses out on the soul of the island. It sure would be a gigantic effort for such a small island, compared to the size of the map, but it would have the potential to be of the most impressive roads to drive on in the whole game :)
