I do believe that it is a very promising step for SCS, and it hopefully will pave the path for SCS to include random events to make game more alive with events such as roadworks at night that closes stretches of motorway and makes you to detour, congestions in the motorways for no reason or because of roadworks. Maybe even things like storms that don't allow you to go on the very high bridges, and so on. If such things would be made feasible, believe me, ProMods and SCS' maps will become more interesting.

Tornadoes would also be an interesting idea. Storms in the sea too, as they may disturb the ferry links that could make you late, and so on. It would be a very interesting concept that SCS must think about and include into the game.

In addition to that, I did notice that SCS may be planning to change the version number of ATS into 1.28 (similarly as ETS2). It might have been done to avoid confusion for beta-testers or the team too.

It's quite fun, yeah. Just double-check every turn and mirrors when overtaking, or just stay in the left lane 5mph over the car limit for the whole trip. If your truck's powerful enough, that is...

the new light system is great.

If you now enter a city it feels more real - for the atmosphere this is a great step forward.

I agree. More dynamism in the game would be for better. But detours can be a little problematic, because as the game doesn't really include local roads, a closed highway would mean a detour of hundreds of kilometers. So I think some local roads etc. would have to be included as well, which would be awesome!
