Perhaps someone could make a mod that adds the frame as an accessory so it would be optional. Because why not?

That would have to be someone outside of ProMods, as the devs in ProMods are all map makers.

I've found a clue which is the cause, the city definition files have the wrong license plate format for Finland. I will ensure they are corrected in 1.7.

It only occurs on some trucks. AI should be absolutely fine

SCS wrote in the 1.11 changelog: "Support for different license plate background for trucks" 1.11 is out now btw! This means we could have the Orange frames in Finnish trucks, couldn't we?

Yes, the 1.70 will be available from this site, but it might take a few weeks to get there, as the modders ran into some problems with the new patch.
