There is still Europoort-Harwich ferry if I'm not mistaken, so you won't need to go to Calais.

These ferries are still in service, so there's no logic as to why the devs should not keep them.

Because less ferries = more driving. And I think having less ferries is better. But the devs opinions may differ.

It's a simulator though. Real life routes should be reflected, unless they heavily affect routing. Like idk, a ferry from Iceland to Germany lol.

Your opinion is also understandable. And as we are able to alter our trucking route, we may keep these ferries I guess?

Sure! Honestly I find it ridicuolus to remove anything from an existing map by a mod. Either add stuff or improve the existing, but removing? What's the point? Especially this ferry thing, lot of people complaining about their exitence, others about the lack of some routes. But in my opinion it's better to have every exisiting line represented in the game. Then, if your playing style is more arcade-y, then you can always set a different route on the navigation. Nobody's forcing you to blindly follow the route that the game plans for you. (Actually the standard route planning of the game is awful 6/10 times) But let's not forget that many player likes to play in a much more realistic way. For us it would be terrible to remove anything from the map.
Sorry for the long bla-bla, I just had to write this down. :)

I know, I'm sure you won't in the future either. I just counter-argumented the idea of some players saying, less ferry = more driving = more fun. Anyway let's get back to the topic ;)

I was just responding to the previous poster claiming you'd remove Newcastle-Amsterdam ferries.

Nonsense.

When did I claim such a thing? It was just my opinion.
