@LudoModding. Nope, no time here, lol. I first bought ATS in June of 2016 and found the SCS forum first a few months after and lurked around for several months. I never thought I'd get into the game like I did. ETS2 followed in Dec of 2016 when I purchased it. I used mods sparingly but never map mods. I didn't get into using small scale maps until much much later. By the time I considered playing large scale map mods downloaded ProMods ETS2 in like 2018 I think. SCS had rolled out 1.31 and ProMods needs to update. For me, it was a pita to even get ProMods working on my pc so I didn't bother again after only getting to play for like 15 mins. I primarily play ATS so no need to really post on this site without a ATS project at the time. Even with ProMods Canada now being a project, I will still mostly just stick to the SCS forum since I am more established there. From time to time I will check this site once ProMods Canada releases. I'd love hear the gossip and see fan's feedback. I do have ProMods discord too so between the 3, that's a lot to keep track of. But I do indeed look forward in the future to ProMods Canada. Pita is may be, but now it will be worth it for me since I am in ATS 98% of the time when playing SCS games.

When will we get an idea of when we can expect to see the release for Canada?

When it is ready of course! And it's ready when it is ready.

Will ProMods be doing the US?

They will do British Columbia starting with a piece of that province. But the connections to the USA they will do too.

They've mentioned avoiding the US for now because SCS is still doing so much work there. Anything they add or change will almost certainly get overwritten before too long. SCS has a big team now and can work faster than ProMods, so adding new states is futile.

Hello! I like promods for ATS, so, if Promods build also another american states which are Wyoming, Texas, Oklahoma and Montana? :-) Promods could make great map!

So promods could make a Mexico promods map :-D

I dont think that this would be smart for us to do. In 5 years time SCS would probably have done some of those states, so I guess we could better focus on areas where SCS will probably not go to.

matygamer01, 2 of those states you mentioned, might very well come out next year.
The 2 other, possibly 2022 and 2023.

Imho, it makes zero sense for ProMods to bother with the US. They have fewer issues with what SCS does that way. ProMods will more than likely finish Canada before SCS finishes the US so at some point, Canada will stretch further East than the US until SCS catches up. The US's road system is denser so SCS has more to map. Most of Canada has all the density in the Southern part of the country. As more ETS2 projects are finished, maybe more will come over to help with Canada. Only thing ProMods needs from SCS are the northern most cities/towns set in stone so that ProMods can connect up to them. Once those areas are established, Promods will have to deal with very limited changes form SCS. Its almost much better if SCS stops several miles/km from the Canadian border and just let ProMods connect to a road instead of a city/town. This way, ProMods can create the town and then add the border checks themselves.

Changes they have to do like in ETS2 will be pretty much eliminated if they only do Canada. I am sure its less frustrating for them to just be able to focus on mapping and not about what SCS might change. New dlcs from SCS only helps the situation. SCS can help populate with new assets and this is what determines what dlc's will be required for ProMods Canada. We can almost assume that at the least, every bordering state will need to be owned to play ProMods Canada. If I miss spoke on anything, apologizes.
