Having a place to deliver cargo to is the main purpose of that construction site there. Without that site, there'll be little reason to drive that piece of road (because who really needs a hotel? )

Indeed. I've always found it strange SCS kept the hotels in there seeing as they don't give you the same perk as in 18WOS, where sleeping in a hotel gave you more drive time the next day than sleeping in the truck did.

I guess it's due to current laws: The drive time / rest time is independent where you rest/sleep etc.

on the airport are no special companies irl only car-rent-agencies.
i didn't find anything about companies there ;)

Purno for your plan that the airport is for the scenery i have two suggestions for the landmark:
there are two noticeable artworks on and near the airport terrain:

1) it's called "Jet Nest"

Here a link with a picture: http://www.holidaycheck.de/data/urlaubs ... 448661.jpg
http://infraton.blogdevoo.com/files/201 ... irport.jpg

it's located on the round artificial lake in the middle of the last picture!

2) "Rainbow"

here some pics:

it would be a great addition and a little bit eye-catching :)

some words for the construction site:
what about putting the sanbuilders there and the construction site from sanbuilders is so big that it covers on lane of the street which goes past the company sanbuilders. so it's one lane and the traffic is controlled by traffic lights.
if it's possible in the middle of the construction site there can be a narrow and a bit tricky entrance to the sanbuilders company. Just a suggestion..it's difficult to explain if you don't understand just let me know! ;)

I'm afraid that would require making the models and isn't a piece of cake.

What about Ásbrú? Of which I discovered has an interesting past while I was just looking up the name. :P

From what I can see on Google Streetview, there's all kind of companies there.

That would require making models, which is a time consuming job which I don't have the skills for myself. If you can arrange these models being made, they can be included. But I don't think you should count on the ProMods team for this one. Because, lets be honest, there's probably more notable landmarks in Europe that would have a much higher priority to be made. :P

Iceland isn't the place for narrow construction sites. They got plenty of space. No need to block the road with a construction site :P

Picture heavy post!!!

Lots of stuff that I've shown in screenshots has had minor or even bigger updates, and there's also stuff that I haven't showed you at all. So, I went back to Reykjavík, followed the road to Höfn, and took a few screenshots of stuff that was changes since last shot, or wasn't in the screenshots at all.

Short jump back to keflavik:

for the construction site i have a new idea...i will try to explain it:
so there shouldn't be an construction site with one lane only.
Why not making a standard road piece where you can simulate that just new fresh asphalt has been laid. (with using different road textures)
so on the one part of the road piece there's the old asphalt. then a short piece only material like gravel (i mean the material on the way to a quarry) and next to the gravel part there comes the part with the new fresh asphalt.
near the street there could be placed some equipment like machines, materials, containers, signs etc.
the construction site could start near the roundabout and the sanbuilders could be placed along the road after the construction site.
new suggestion...what's your opinion? ;)

by the way nice screenshots Purno!

Now this is looking great, but do you have any updates of the location where the port will be, to get to/from Iceland?

Great work on this, Purno. I do admire it :)
