Hi guys, been inactive for a while but very pleased to see that Antwerp is being built. Are other improvements in Belgium forthcoming? I was hoping for:
- improvement of Brussels, at least fixing the ring so it resembles a ring
- delete the country road that goes west towards Calais and replace it with the proper E40, connected with Calais
- correct language(s) on the signs! On the A17/E19 south of Brussels, currently ALL of the signs are in Dutch in areas where they should be in French. Bilingual signs in and very close to Brussels.
- like Mandelsoft has been working on signs for the Bundesländer in Germany, perhaps there could be signs for the 3 regions of Belgium (Flemish, Walloon, and Brussels Capital)?
Development on version 1.x (Current Map Improvements)
Actually we are doing some motorway rebuilding in Belgium.
We will keep this coastal road but a highway will be added from Antwerpen to Calais which will be the E34/E40.

I don't mind it but in this case there should be a highway. Simply getting rid of highways just to get small roads ingame isn't the way SCS should do it.

I'm not saying that you must delete the highways and change them to small roads, it need to be as realistic as it can be , but if you can choose to drive via a coastal road or a highway I prefer the coastal road.
Happy trucking!
Yup perfectly understandable... however to take this coastal road you will have to drive through Zwijndrecht with some shitty traffic lights and it will defo cost more time

From about the furthest point in Flanders, to the farthest point in Wallonia is about 250 km, that's only 4 or 5 minutes driving in ETS2Nico wrote:We don't just laugh
And yeah true NokiaSpecialist but the French ppl are so far away that we just forget them
Here Belgian people are the Flemish ones... the rest is just something else
May I also remind you, that in the Royal Shield of The Netherlands, you have a French text ("Je maintiendrai") and that in the 17th, 18th and 19th century, French was also spoken by the higher class in The Netherlands
Well I guess we're slightly off-topic here

I thought it was supposed to be realistic ?Superdavecan wrote: - improvement of Brussels, at least fixing the ring so it resembles a ring

In Belgium by LAW the signs may only be in the language of the region you're driving through.
That's the reason why if you drive around the ring of Brussels, you see sometimes signs in Dutch and sometimes in French: it's because sometimes the ring passes a dutch commune and sometimes a French. I sometimes wondered how these international truckers who probably only have the delivery address in one language, don't get confused, I guess GPS is universal
Language is a very sensitive topic in this small country
I just do a job from Kiel to Göteburg and wondered, If the region around Flensburg and the Rader Hochbrücke will be improved? It looks very empty and unfinished. Maybe adding a few rapefields which are typicall for Schleswig-Holstein. This also apply to the B 199 from Flensburg to Esbjerg. Its a bit to empty, an the crossing (which could maybe Niebüll) Is also a bit to heartless created. It doesn't feels like a small town in the ETS scale. Kutchek done this very good in France.
