Next map DLC Italy in Euro Truck, meanwhile in American Truck....New mexico still in coming soon. American needs roads a lot of roads... I think that New Mexico is insufficient.
I don't think I quite get your point. Euro Truck and American Truck Sim are being developed concurrently, DLC for Euro Truck Sim doesn't mean American Truck Sim has been abandoned. If your point is that SCS are releasing bigger DLCs for Euro Truck Sim, Italy and New Mexico are roughly the same size, in fact I believe New Mexico may be slightly larger. Euro Truck Sim has years of development time ahead of American Truck Sim, it's only natural that it's a fair bit larger.

Probably either Oregon or Idaho, simply because it would be a nice change of scenery.

Quite honestly I think that SCS should do the states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington State in one pack, giving us the Pacific North-west.

While that would be nice, SCS aren't the quickest when it comes to releasing DLC. The New Mexico DLC was announced all the way back in the beginning of February and still hasn't come out yet. But of course there can be certain variables to how fast SCS make DLCs.

I figure that SCS will stick with the drier states first. They already have the right textures and vegetation to do this and will be able to add new content as needed. To jump up to the upper west would mean a whole new set of textures and vegetation are needed. Even Texas will need a lot of new stuff because of the diversity across the state.

Well, SCS has stated that they are increasing their map modelling team. But that won't translate into shortest development times but maybe more projects in parallel. But yeah, waiting for New Mexico is getting hard. At this point I might get my new laptop before they release it. However, one thing has striken me: why does the Italy DLC have a Steam site while the New Mexico one doesn't? :?:

Around the same time SCS said that New Mexico would be the next state back in February 2017 SCS also announced that they had two teams, one team is going east and the other is going north in order to produce more map DLC content for us in ATS, but their is four months left of 2017 and still no new DLC map expansion. SCS should have one team working on ETS2 and another on ATS, allowing the same amount of time to produce DLC map expansion and so on.

DLCs for ATS are much more important because we don't have Promods expansion for ATS.

My first response would be Texas as that will continue to bring us east. With that said I would be happy with a Pacific NW release (maybe Oregon, Washington, Idaho combo).

You will all forget on area New Mexico, New Mexico: 315 194 square km, Italy: 301,338 square km! This mean, that development New Mexico will be to last evenly as in development Italy ;)
