I certainly agree that the northern tip of France needs an overhaul. Quite frankly the SCS parts of France need a Promods makeover (Autoroute Rebuild, anyone

A16 needs to be in the map because of the Channel Tunnel. Without it, there's no way to get to the tunnel in a way that can be considered reasonably realistic.Der Freiburger wrote:It would be nice if Kutchek make the A1 and the N2. Both roads in Promods Quality would be very nice. Maybe the D966 from Vervins to Reims, too.
Then the A26, the Original Country Roads and maybe the A16 were redundant.

For international traffic the A1-A26 road is much more used to get to the channel than the A16 though. Even from Paris, not all that many take the A16 that goes from Paris to Amiens but most take the A1 to at least the A29 or even the A26 as the A16 has no direct link into Paris or to the major ring roads.Kobra2112 wrote:A16 needs to be in the map because of the Channel Tunnel. Er, there is only a short distance of the A1 that is free! It's a toll road from just north of the A26 interchange right the way down to a HUGE toll plaza north of PCG Airport. The A26-A1 route from the Channel Tunnel/Calais ports is more used because a) it is the signed route to Paris b) it's quicker and c) the A1 goes right to Le Peripherique compared to the A16 which sort of gives up before even reaching the N104.jdenm8 wrote:I would say it's more that the A1 is free and the A16 isn't. The A16 also gets to within a Kilometre of the N104.
Ah, my mistake. I did have a look for toll booths, but obviously missed them.MyFaceBeHi wrote:Er, there is only a short distance of the A1 that is free! It's a toll road from just north of the A26 interchange right the way down to a HUGE toll plaza north of PCG Airport.
