Question about mod tools and techniques

So, while I'm at it, applying the new signage system in Sweden around Malmö, I decided to make some changes to the map nearby Malmö too, because part of it was still a bit to boring and empty. I turned this area...



... into this...



... which looks a lot more interesting with the scenery. I also thought there was a part of the coastal route of the E6 missing, so I inserted some clear view over the sea too:


I've also replaced some 3-to-2 lane transitions, so they have their proper lane arrows now:


Of course, I've applied proper signage too:






Even some creative use signage placement. Why use a gantry if you have a perfect gantry construction present in the form of an overpass?


So, one city down, 7 more to go...

I just have a chance to try this mode for first time (was waiting for my new Fanatec to arrive).
I take my hat off to everyone who was involved in this project. You guys did excellent job. Complexity, attention to details… Found everything to be top notch.

Being opf/arma modder myself, I did play with ETS2 editor for couple days. I can imagine how much time/work you spend on this mod.

Meanwhile in Jönköping, I've tried to recreate this interchange: http://www.majhost.com/gallery/riiga/An ... af2003.jpg. It's a bad interchange due to it's tight dimensioning, but it might be fun for a challenge to drive on this one, because not all interchanges have a perfect design. The result:





And yes, the curves are really tight:


Here you can really see the strong point of using modular signage: you can make custom setups like this without adding more models




I also changed some streetlights at some interchanges, replacing them with more sporadic towers like this, which is actually quite common in some parts of Sweden:
