I am curious if the creators of the Southern Region will reach the Caspian Sea to the city of Makhachkala. Then a ferry connection between Makhachkala and Aktau would be possible. An abbreviation from this part of Kazakhstan to southern Russia.

That place is already a part of the Caucasus map mod by FunTrucker_18,
so you ought to ask him if he would like to create a ferry connection there.
I've also seen requests for a ferry between Baku and Aktau, as IRL!

Baku is part of the YKS Team Turkey map. I am not up to date with the YKS map since the DLC road to the Black Sea is issued, so I have not visited Azerbaijan for a long time. The only hope for the expansion of the Southern Region towards the east and meanwhile the map ends in the city of Niewinnomyssk.

It's an issue that's addressed in the other map add ons bit not in this one?
