While it's (hopefully) compatible with current version, why not publish current updates?
We can't wait for SCS to try it.

I think what he meant was to put 1.9 out after a short update so that we can have the latest map to drive around but no because:

1. It's an enormous fuss to release an update, not easy.
2. Beta testers would be working round the clock and they won't even get a break. And because of that the updates will have more problems than expected.
3. People would be having troubles installing the new version. It's not easy for everyone (seek questions they ask in the main topics).
4. (less likely) Developers would indirectly (or even directly) feel a stress if they release often updates and the moment they'll want a break, people without manners or patience will complain.

Case closed and moving on...
