PM needs some serious and dedicated time and effort on making STDLC compatible with PM, given that, as somebody previously said, there isn't much left from the vanilla map on PM, so PM will have to carefully analyze, adjust and shape manually every route made by SCS to fix it in order to work with PM.

Well, good luck to all ProMods team for taking on making the specials "at home" again then ! ;) Forget my question for variable routes :lol:

If I have bough garages when PM is enabled, and I disable PM, will my save game still work? But just like @Flywheel says, disabling PM is like telling one kid that I won't talk to it anymore... I think I'm gonna wait patiently for PM to release an update. There are currently enough mods that contain special loads. Only the convoy feature is missing, but hey, that's something to look forward to ;-)

Hi,

your save game will work, but this is not a good idea.

Your drivers in that garages are then located in "no where" and can not do anything.

you can always relocate and sell empty garage.. w/o problems..

better way is start new profile w/o promods map.

But then I’ll lose all progress right? I don’t want do start from scratch again :-(

@mo158: copy your current profile, load into the new profile, sell everything in the ProMods areas, remove ProMods from that profile. Win.

You end up with 2 profiles - one with ProMods and one without. Both will have the exact same progress at the time of copying. Going forward they will become different but at least you don't have to start again from scratch.

I did something similar but in reverse, I copied my vanilla profile before I first tried ProMods so I could try using map mods on it without breaking my vanilla profile.

Note: You do need to use a 3rd party tool to decrypt profile.sii - the one in the post didn't work for me however there was an alternative one suggested by someone else in the 2nd reply which did work for me. SCS also don't offer any support for profiles using a decrypted profile as if you edit the wrong thing it can mess up the new profile and it may be something that doesn't show up immediately. If you're just careful and make sure 100% that you're editing the right part then no problem, it's worked fine for me after using it for a while now.

I dont think that i will do that,because i would like to use my old profile for the Special transport.
So i need to wait until the Pm team can give us at least few jobs for the St Dlc.

Since creating routes can be very time consuming and the active team becomes smaller and smaller, I hope the spare time goes into rebuilding old area's of the map so everybody will benefit. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of ST DLC, but after a few jobs it get really repetitively to be honest.

Reading the forum to catch up on Special Transport and our much loved ProMods. Certainly a ProMods addition that I will continually be happily pay for.
