I've lived in Sydney for 10 years, in which I've been to Hong Kong and Singapore countless times. During then I also went to Melbourne, Hobart, Vanuatu and Hamilton Island (in Queensland, Australia). While I'm in Greece, I've been to almost the whole mainland of the country and a few islands including Skiathos (where we have a holiday house which makes us the highest people in the island), Santorini and Corfu. I've also been to Sofia in Bulgaria, Dubrovnik in Croatia, Venice and Bari in Italy, Prague in the Czech Republic (yes, I've checked out the Czech Republic), Krakow in Poland and Budapest in Hungary. Do the cities where I have changed flights count? If yes, this needs some updating!

In my personal opinion I count countries the moment you're physically present in its sovereign territory. Whether that is an airport stopover or by boat doesn't matter. Airspace doesn't count though as you're not on the ground therefore can't see anything. On the other extreme there are people who don't countries unless they've spent a night there or if they cannot remember it because they were small. I call bs on that as your body has still physically been present in that territory :p

Stationed in Germany for 1 year Cyprus for 1 year during military service, been to the States couple of times.
First time there went down the east coast down along through Louisiana , Texas into Mexico through California up into Canada. Spent a week in Oahu which was very interesting especially Pearl Harbor planning on going back to see the upgrades, have been back to Canada couple of times.
Have been living in Australia for 20 odd years 12 years in Sydney 8 years here in sunny and warm 30C Brisbane been to Melbourne for a weekend Adelaide for a couple of weeks Canberra for a week with my parents when they came out here for a visit.

OK then. From What I've remember I'v stayed for 6 hours in Zurich's airport and 2 hours in Athens' Airport. That's all I can remember so far.
