Hey, I'm the founder of a major long-term project called Project Australia, which is an Australian map at a massive 1:15 scale! Now myself, I know quite a lot when it comes to using the map editor but there are a few things I struggle with... Such as - Joining of roads so that they all connect and so that I don't end up with lots of dead ends roads. Another area is simply just like making slopes/hills with the scenery and/or roads. If anyone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated! :)

Kind Regards,
Brett (PA Founder).

Snapping roads can be forced by pressing the ALT key.

Slopes can be realised by pressing hotkey H and adjusting heights on road nodes.

In terms of making scenery there is no guideline. It's a feeling you need to have and the knowledge of available materials and terrain types. I suggest looking at examples of what SCS/we build.
Am I developing at the moment?

I was wondering if someone can help me with my editor background problem.
I made my DDS texture with DXTbmp program, and no mater how big the picture is when I send it back from the editor, DXTbmp exports 2048x2048 big texture, witch is resized by the editor when used as background and become useless.

So I'm wondering if there is any function that I'm missing to get bigger textures when exporting from DXTbmp, or if there is any other software to do this job correctly.

Thanks.

You can set size and offset of the background map in def/editor_data.sii.

Since there is new 1.22 + promods 2.00 I have experienced some weird things in editor :/ One thing is that, if I want to set the mover, the nodes appear on the screen but nothing is moving there. And I press item details, it goes straight to "checking items consistency" screen, and it keeps loading forever. Has anybody else same problem?

This is most likely caused by "inconsistent linkage" errors, you need to check the map for them and get rid of the errors. Then it should work fine.

Strange it didn't happen before 1.22...

Started the map editor program again, not used it since august.
Seems someone stole all my trees from my test city.
Last summer I had a trouble that my city, even if I had ProMods enabled, when zooming in on the map, the map got misaligned.
With ProMods 2.00 I tested again, but this time I changed the loading order.
My test city on the bottom on the list. Now the map worked as intended.
"No connections to the rest of the map tho. Missing more than 160km to closest road and more than 200km to the closest cities"
Lets see if I can improve my skills someday in the future.

In your map's def folder, delete the file game_data.sii
