I've got problem with my mod directory being on my C drive. I'd like to move my mod folder to a larger drive. I saw there was a way to change the Launch Options using -homedir"D:\noyoudontstoreonmyc\Euro Truck Simulator 2\" There must be a typo in there, or I've misunderstood something because it stops the game launching at all.
Can anyone see the error ?

I think the command is… …with a space after the keyword.
You can also switch off the intro by adding "-nointro" before that command, with a space before the "homedir" command

Probably I am in the wrong thread but I want to ask... is there a way to have the tune parts from the Mercedes Benz truck mod to another vehicle that is a mod? Or some sort of "universal parts mod" that can add license plate slots where it can generate a license plate? I am asking because various vehicle mods have their own license plates that do not fit the country where they are bought into or are a repeat, and it bothers me a lot.
Is there a way to do so? Or to modify and add a hookup or something in a model? Is there a guide where to edit vehicles or make a complete truck or vehicle?

Anyone else's map editor stopped working since the update?
Fine a couple of hours ago, downloaded 1.38, and now when I save the map it gets to "Auto-compounding: Finalizing...", gives an error, and won't save changes.
The editor log has lots along these lines:
"00:02:15.608 : <ERROR> [ufs] Failed to mount ../../base_map in read-write mode."
So it looks as if the map editor isn't giving itself permissions needed for the folders. I'm using the excellent PM Tools Launcher, but running it as administrator doesn't help.
(Just to add - setting up a shortcut to launch directly to Steam without PM tools and running that as administrator doesn't help either)

Having trouble trying to get my own image to work as the background map for a mod.
No matter what I try it comes up with a large red texture.

If needs be I can send my mod.scs file. I am just stumped..
UPDATE: It is now working, I believe it was -force_mods that did the trick.

For some reason my terrain has no grass, it is just a material. What setting/tick box would have done this? Is it something in the node properties? I don't recall having this issue before. Here's an image to see if this helps.

Edit: I have my map loaded to play but it shows the standard grey europe.mbd but zoomed in. I have not yet made my own city name etc as still figuring that out. How would I make it show my own "dover" city on a plain map?

I have the 1.37 update and I am working on a map plan for Promods. After the Promods 2.50 update was released, I took the areas from 2.46 and moved them into the 2.50' file. But I can't save my files and I get an Error alert. While I was searching for answers to my question, the SCS software Forum said that I needed to see if the location of my base and map files was correct. But there's no problem with my file.
I reached the solution by changing the name of the base file to base_map.

Where is the correct section to ask for prefabs to be made for me? I am going to make a prototype of the unmapped section of the A1 in Greece, from Katerini to Piraeus via Athens, and some of the junctions are very tightly packed. While I consider myself to be decent at mapping to a point of adding the A13 to A3/A4 connection in the Paris Rebuild mod, I am very terrible at ZModeler and Blender. I will post the diagrams when I know where to ask.
I think you'll have to learn how to create them yourself.
