ProMods 2.11 does not work on ETS2 1.24 due to different def structure.

Dear Xela, probably you misunderstand some aspects:
from game version 1.24 to 1.25 there are no new cities added in the game. that's why many people stay on 1.24. when will be new cities SCS will sell a DLC (Viva la France is on going)
those updates you read about are only on ProMods from v2.03 to v2.1, both versions being compatible to game v1.24
from ProMods 2.1 to 2.11 there are no new cities and areas added, only compatibility for 1.25 and bug fixes. here my question is if 2.11 is compatible with 1.24 (for the bug fixes).
I don't move yet to 1.24 as I use a lot of additional trucks, traffic mods, trailers and miscellaneous that are not all updated to 1.25 ;) Also some of these are edited by me for personal use and will take me days to update these too.

thanks then I should live with the bugs in 2.1 for a while. honestly I did not find any yet :lol: but I know about the existence of a few...

v2.1 was very buggy, some major bugs etc.. so there is no more support and download for 2.1 version. Current version for 1.24 is 2.03, so.. update to 1.25 and use 2.11 with new content, bug fixes etc..

Soo cipinho did you tried southern region v.6.0 with promods is it compatible?

Ok, removing lines .....could be painful when playing - but these lines are duplicates as far as I can see it so they are present in game anyways and should work.

I haven't driven much in EAApart of the world,
there's so much more to see in ProMods country :P , but I like to have a big Worldmap to see - NO crash sofar downbelow...been teleporting and using ferries...
These removed lines should only affect EAA, if a crash will occur it will be there ;)
Thanks for your tutorial but how do I open the archive in game? This is not something I have a lot of experience doing.
This seems to work with ProMods 4.1

no, Southern Region I did not try yet, for two reasons:
1. the version 5.0 is compatible only with RusMap and not with ProMods and version 6.0 was not officially released yet, so 6.0 it might be a fake
2. for that part of the globe I am using Orient Express (or Eastern express as is also known) and I was very surprised to find a great map (up to now I only drove on the south part of the map). I managed to get this map before became payware as I heard recently. :evil:

I understand, so it seems that we must move on to 1.25 soon if we want updated maps. the problems is that most of the additional trucks I am using weren't yet updated for 1.25. also I modified a lot of mods according to my personal preferences and have to do it again for the updates :lol:

You better stay on v.1.24..
but.. if you want updated maps and dont care about outdated truck mods, then update to v1.25

you can upgrade, check compatibility with mods and then downgrade if truck mods wont work (create new demo/vannilla profile)

we can't just have everything... no news from Orient Express, Indo Map, Hungary map, ROS, ROC maps and neither from most of the (american) trucks so I will stay a while on 1.24 with old Promods, 4.0 EAA and the same RusMap.
there will be time later to discover the new cities and places.
I look forward to test the new Africa map, hoping that is different than the poor quality Africa from TSM

@cipinho - I think PJ Indo Map is a versatile map mod just like RusMap 1.6.3. It can work with the new game version without needing to update for it. This is because it does not include any standard SCS def files that would have been changed in 1.25.

For example, RusMap 1.6.3 was made for 1.23, but still works on 1.25.

I have PJ Indo Map enabled on my profile on 1.25. No game crash, but I haven't driven there so I can't confirm anything. Positive it would work though. :)

Maps like ProMods, ROS and EAA are not versatile map mods, because they include def files that are not standalone that can easily cause a game crash in future game versions.
