Well, sometimes you have to take a rather big detour if the highway is closed, so I wouldn't see much of the problem with 200km detour which rather short distance in the game.

SCS release beta version of update 1.28 with:

- Doubles
- Background screen options
- Changed light flares on the player and AI vehicles

And...

- Auxiliary brakes system support (engine brake and retarder in one control element)
- Fixed licence plate change in states/countries where no city formats exist
- Fixed brake vs parking brake behavior
- Fixed tire noise of silent tires
- Retarder improvement (better cruise control behavior, no braking with throttle, icon when moving only)
- Steam Inventory support to allow for distributing rewards from upcoming World of Trucks events.

ProMods is NOT COMPATIBLE with 1.28!

Promods is not compatible because it's set to be compatible only with 1.27, unless you found a way to break the mod and change it.

Which isn't recommended. It may cause unexpected issues, and we don't support SCS Beta versions.

And I can assure you that you'll experience crashes when using PM in 1.28.

SCS releases a public beta version for players to help them test their new features. Not to play on it casually and use mods. It's pointless to use beta version if you're going to just play it...

And I believe that there's a plenty of custom models that need their flare properities changed.

It's not pointless. It's a test drive. And if I like it, I keep it. So far, I love ATS 1.28, and I'll keep using it.

But the whole point of releasing the public beta is to let players use it and report bugs. I know a lot of them just play it, instead of helping SCS resolve issues - that's not a big deal. The problem is that some people want to use mods in the beta and that's not the best idea, especially if they come to us to complain ;)

Yeah, now I see your point. I agree. People are dumb.

I haven't encountered any bugs so far, maybe a part of interface that's not translated, but that was also in previous beta, that's alright. Main functions work well, nothing to report. It's "well hidden".
