Unzipped the version 2.01 in the Mod folder and copied the newly created def file as well.
In game it still shows ProMod 2.0.
Is that correct?

I installed ProMods v2.01 as per instructions (notification via e-mail). Disabled older version (2.0) in all profiles in the game. Deleted the version 2 from the Mod folder. Checked in-game to verify v2.0 deleted.
Unzipped the version 2.01 in the Mod folder and copied the newly created def file as well.
In game it still shows ProMod 2.0.
Is that correct?

That's correct, the loading screens never read 2.00, so 2.01 still shows as 2.0.
It's largely a bugfix release, so the devs didn't deem it necessary to give it it's own version number.
