Safe to change country id?

I was testing the Eldorado map addon mod and found this error on my profile conflicting with the British Isles.

00:00:23.960 : <ERROR> Country index 203 is used by more than one country @@Isle of Man@@ vs @@Sete Barras@@

Is it safe to change the country id of Sete Barras so I don't get this error, or will that lead to more problems?

These maps will be incompatible then.

The country ID is linked to map sectors, so if you change the definition these map sectors will be linked to another country

ScuL - What happens if I change the country ID for Sete Barras to an unused country code, for example, let's say, 255?

Will the map sectors not conflict then?

The map sectors of that area will then be represented as if they were part of the Isle of Man
