Is there a way to detach already attached nodes?

Yes. It's pretty simple:
- Nodes can be forced to attach when holding the ALT-key while moving
- Nodes can be forced to detach when holding the SHIFT-key while moving

Thanks for asking elitegamer0611 and thanks for info MandelSoft. I didn't have to detach nodes often but I was just deleting some small road segments and placing them again
