Everything below this section is how it began. This problem has been solved.

For those having texture problems, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x86 and run troubleshoot_dx9.cmd. After running the .CMD file, you can now start ETS2 as normal in the future.

Special thanks to papanebo for the solution!

I was so excited to explore Scandinavia for the first time, but until after the long ferry ride from Harwich to Esbjerg THIS happened... (see ZIP file below)

EDIT: Some list of things I have done...
1. Restart game (FAILED)
2. Remove all mods except for the map (FAILED)
3. Start a new profile (FAILED)

Unlucky, we had this problem reported twice during beta-testing but it only seems to be triggered by a freak condition as none of our other testers as well as many other people have encountered this.

We believe this could either be a DirectX, driver issue or an issue with certain graphical settings.

For anybody encountering this problem please report:

Version of ETS2
Steam or not steam?
Version of DirectX
Graphics settings (in-game)
Graphics card specs & driver version (if possible)

Have you tried switching graphics quality from low to medium or anything like that? If yes, does it make a difference?

Version of ETS2: 1.4.8
Steam or not steam?: Not Steam
Version of DirectX: DirectX 11
Graphics settings (in-game): Custom (close to High setting)
Graphics card specs & driver version (if possible): AMD Radeon HD 6770 (6800 series), driver version 12.104.0.0000

And switching graphics quality to a lower / lowest setting does not solve the problem.

If there is no other solution to this problem, I will try reinstalling ETS2 (1.4.8 already provided for at the download page at their main website), as my LAST RESORT. I'm going to assume that the many patch updates to the game have messed up some files.

History of updates to my simulator: 1.0.0 > 1.1.3 > 1.2.5.1 > 1.3.0 > 1.3.1 > 1.4.1 > 1.4.8

We have yet to define what the cause of this problem is, I have seen it popping up in a few places but unfortunately we can't simulate the conditions. In the worst case we will log the issue with SCS and see if they can support us.

I will sticky this topic too.

Scul sent me here as he found some glitches in my video..

You do appear to suffer from a texture glitch, most signs and some railings don't appear as they should in your recording. Please report yourself here:

Yep, exactly like that: signs, rails, side road lines, etc. are all messed up.

This is clearly a graphics card issue, most likely driver and/or hardware combination.

Is this issue only with the mod or do you experience it with default?

Would also help if people included graphics card model and driver version.
