Is there an easier way to update Promods instead of re-downloading the mod over, and over, again?

No there is not.

Indeed, there is not. This is the easiest way to update a mapmod.

I just thought that updating from let's say Promods 2.10 to 2.11 wich just adds ETS2 1.25 compatibility would not need a whole re-install.

It's the way how the file system works. Not only the compatibiliy has changed, but also a number of map and asset fixes has been made, which are too hard to track. Furthermore, the encryption doesn't allow to "hotfix" compatibility either.

ProMods currently consists of nearly 80,000 files.

It's impossible to separate the changes between versions.

Can you rename the scs files with load order in the name?

We could but there is no reason to do so, the loading order of ProMods makes no difference.

The only time it makes a difference is when you combine PM with other map mods, and that's not necessarily an issue.

When you only load ProMods, the order of loading is told on the last page of the installation.....

It's just alphabetical, can't be easier.

I don't see what the fuzz is about. When get something great for free and updating takes 5 minutes after download.
