Hi
Whenever a new version of Promods comes out, can it overwrite the older version OK or will ETS2 require you to create a brand new profile?
My profile's level is quite high and I don't fancy doing a fresh profile for every future iteration of Promods.

I use my main profile since this game was released - does that explain everything?

Yes but after ProMods (and all other mods) are updated to new patch, you can continue playing

Don't worry too much about the red exclamation mark. Worst case scenario, the game will cancel the job you were on and park your truck back in your main garage (HQ) - you won't be penalised for the job cancellation at all, it's just the game playing it safe so you will still have all of your money and XP.
In the rare event that the game crashes, it's likely to be that you've updated both the game and ProMods, for example the next release of ProMods - v2.16 and ETS2 v1.27, which would be fine but another mod (truck/trailer/etc) is no longer compatible with the latest ETS2 version.
Either see if you can remove the mod or if there is an updated version - a Workshop mod will update automatically.
Generally speaking most mods will work with ETS2 1.27, so there should not be an issue at all.
Hope this helps.

I always make a Profile ONLY when there's a new Version for Ets2 cause i don't want my old one to get curupted so when 2.16 comes out Hopefully soon then i shall use a modded profile that i made and when 2.20 comes out with a Heck lot of new cities to come It's definitly going to be lots of driving hours for me in the Uk and else where
When map mods come into mind ProMods is always the Number 1 map mod of Ets2
Been enjoying promods since 1.95

You don't need to create a new profile for each ETS2 version, I have used the same profile since 2013 without problems (only red errors being caused by ProMods as some cities were added and then later removed)! Maintaining a profile "clean" takes some effort though as I use loads of other mods as well.
