Pro mods 1.61 crash

when i reach this point of the map outside of caen i crash going up the hill tried 9 times i crash i use no mods other then pro mods no other problems with pro mods so far

This is a known bug and will be fixed in v1.62.

Seems like Kutchek added some non 1.9 version sectors in the 1.61 causing this problem... I just returned from a weekend vacation and will check the bugs now for maybe a 1.62 release.

This crash won't happen in v1.60, so to finish your job you can use v1.60.

ETS2 Won't run at all. Steam updated automatically and now my game won't even load.. What's up? If I have to wait till 1.62 how long will that be, are we talking days or months. I have no other mods installed. I hope that I don't have to totally restart a new game - I don't think I could be bothered, it would be so soul-destroying to have to go through everything again, even though I do love plaing the game. I don't want to have to start a new game.

ETS2 Won't run at all. Steam updated automatically April 3rd and now my game won't even load.. Do I need 1.61 promod update? I have Going East.

However... Is there any other place to download 1.61 (and later 1.62 from), I have used livid before and they always insist on their installer being used and that seems to take over my PC, with ads everywhere and hijack my browsers etc..

You do know that CHILDREN play ETS2 don't you? Zippyshare is using unblockable PORN pop-ups, I've just been shown auto play sound and video - without me realising what was happening or where it popped up to on my PC (in a totally separate second window), whilst I had a house full of guests and my kids in the room.

I'm not happy about being subjected to that and I think most ETS players would agree. This isn't GTA we're downloading, or playboy mansions! Its ETS..

You could offer those of us a paid download option, that only gives us the files we want and does not force us to have malware and ad software forced onto our PC or porno pop-up to invade our family homes.

There is already a paid download option (just read the download instructions).

oh and this iLivid. You mustn't download the ads. If you download one of the ads you often and up with these malware files.


And I think it's the jobs of parents to control what their children see on the internet and what not. Why are we responsible of thirdparty ads on a thirdparty download site?

I think that most 13 year (minimum age for fb, yt etc) already know something about this.


Free, speedy 200mb downloads need to be financed with money from for example adds.

And you can always copy the links to a program like jdownloader so that you (in most cases) don't have to open the site in your browser....but i have no idea if that might hurt a revenue which the promods team might get from the adfly link..

To be fair, though, finding the link which will actually download the intended file instead of the iLivid and PCTuneUp crap, on sites like zippyshare, can be hard. E.g.: I, a veteran of the internet since before it was called the internet, had some difficulty downloading Hemlin's route adviser mod v4.0 today through one of those add supported services.

I would heartily recommend this mod, BTW, as having the route advisor popping up in your peripheral vision at the sligthest provocation (like, entering a yard to make a delivery) and thus blocking your view when using head tracking, is *way* annoying. Having it "top center", as one of the included mods allows, just does away with a lot of the frustration. A mod to suppress it altogether would have been even better still.

But, back on topic, given my experience with 13-year-olds nowadays, I think you'd be surprised at how many of them are not clued in about the facts of life and an even greater portion of them aren't as aware as us of the ways in which commercial enterprises try to direct internet traffic towards them and are, thus, unable to avoid the downloads which negitavely affect them. It's a bit callous to not take these complaints seriously, just because they're not "once bitten, twice shy", like us adults.

My parents have always been clear about the internet and till I was 12 they didn't like me to spend time on it alone.
