Heavy Cargo DLC collides with standard bridge height.

With the new "Heavy Cargo DLC from SCS" I have 'collided' with an issue that I have not really encountered in this game before now:

- "Standard Bridge Height".
Does such a standard exist in vanilla ETS2 and/or Promods?
And if, what are the standards?

- Sign posted Warnings when approaching bridges under "standard bridge height".
Something to think about for future mapping?

Admittedly, I have only collided with 1 bridge in Germany so far:

See this:

https://promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=17339

But I was anxious about colliding again, all the to Tampere.

IMO a logical step regarding the new DLC, otherwise the whole map would had been reworked by lowering the road level beneath the bridge or reworking the bridge prefab with reworking the surrounding terrain. Sounds like a piece of work. There are also some closely slip roads, which I barely could not pass with some bigger trailer included in Jazzycats Trailer & Cargo pack. So we need these signs on the map.

Best regards

At the moment we cannot really do much about it, it is an extreme amount of work to increase the height on all bridges. We can take reports and gradually reduce the worst bottlenecks

Yes it would be a big undertaking, heightening and lowering all problematic bridges and roads. But perhaps over time.

In which part of the forum would you like to receive any future reports of problematic bridges?

In real life I suppose bridge heights are included in the GPS?

I doubt all GPS apps have such info but some of them have dedicated Truck mode - then you probably get a route that avoids streets with low bridges or something else too.

Yes, there are special maps for truck GPS. But these professional application licences for huge vehicles cost some extra money. You can give the software your specs like high, width, length, weight, tonnage, axle load a.s.o. and you will get an optimized route. You can chose a profile for truck/cargo, bus or camper. But for this kind of maps you have to pay, google maps or other gps do not have it.

Best regards

Can we have signs few kms before bridge so we can change road? Well too bad the bridges are not a bit higher I hit bridge in germany few times and missed like 20 cm in real life...

There was a discussion at one point about adding bridge clearances to the GPS map, but it would result in a lot of clutter if this was done, I think.

I have collided with several overpasses with Jazzycat trailers. In Germany, France, and Spain. Did a number on my truck and my cargo.

since many of us have the new heavy cargo pack in use - why not starting an extra thread to post the locations of the impossible bridges?
better to help the team with a database of the bridges that need a rework instead of they have to look over all

EDIT
saw a vdeo where it was impossible to go through a toll station on the highway(didnt know that the train was that!! large)why not avoiding the larger loads til a solution for that problem is here...
hauled only the crane til now - nice and low
