This is serious issue for your PC, 64bit operating system needs 4GB memory minimum to work right and you shouldn't use much mods, especially big ones.

But you most likely have 1333MHz DDR3 memory sticks and they are cheap now. 2x 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 sticks costs ~30-35e new and used at least -50% cheaper (memory don't wear out, it's safe to buy used). Memory should (need) always add in pairs to get full 128bit memory lane used.
Now you need to be sure what cind of memory you should buy and if in your motherboard have 2 free slots, take peek (or your friend?!) inside hood.

It says exactly what motherboard you have and you can check manufacturer site supported memory.

In motherboard is lock clip in both ends of memory sticks, memoryslots aren't symmetrical, be sure witch way install and don't touch any bare metallic parts in memorysticks or in motherboard. It's quite easy if you do it carefully.
