Advisory speed

Dear people,

I think it would be a good idea if, in places where an especially sharp curve or steep decline is looming, advisory speed signs were placed. Road authorities IRL do so too: no need to lower the speed limit, but a gentle reminder to perhaps tone it down a little.
I've made -from memory- Dutch and German examples of such signs. Consider it: it would add, in my opinion, to the reality.

Those signs are already placed in Iceland. We tested them out over there. If the test succeeds they may appear in more places on the map.

The main problem is you can't make them without speed limit AND get AI cars to respect them. I use advisory speed signs in Iceland (Iceland rarely use speed limit signs) but I had to leave speed limit for them because AI went bonkers in some places.

However, it should be taken into account that they are not equally common in the different countries. I think, they are quite common in the Netherlands and Spain but a relatively rare sight in Germany.

Volleybal4life: thank you, sir.
Abraxas: AI vehicles seem to know what speed is advisable anyway. I have yet to find any AI lorries toppled over because they entered a curve too enthusiastically. Just a sign (I mean, there are signs warning for crossing wildlife that AI also ignores -as do I, because I believe no deer are programmed into the program) for the benefit of the player.
M4rkus: I have yet to visit Spain (and living in Indonesia, it seems improbable I will any time soon), but I did see them on occasion in Germany when an exit was followed by a sharp curve (and, of course, when entering the country, on the speed limits sign at the border.

I've seen AI going too wide many times due to going too fast, so it causes problems.

Abraxas: ah, my friend, but AI vehicles are, it would appear, not answerable to the same laws as we mere mortals are. I've seen AI vehicles suddenly move across the screen in ways that defy the laws of physics...

I agree, but as I said I use these advisory speed signs to calm AI a bit. That's why I added traffic rules to them. It's doesn't mean that in other countries they must have speed limit set. In Iceland it's useful for some places like for example 20 speed limit in West Fjords.

I am looking forward to getting a haul to Iceland, and the chance of admiring your work!
