Hi,

Is there a plan for increase the map scaling in the future to allow more scenery, towns and roads to be added.

If answered already please point me to the link. ;)

Thanks J

We don't think so because it would need veeeeeery long time to strech the whole map and they are bound on scs too ;)

It has been said many, many times before.
Far to much to even link to.
We won't change the games scale. 1:19 is a fine scale to work in.
Changing the scale is just far too much work.

1:19 is too small example Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Andorra, San Marino etc...
I think 1:10 scale is better

It would be very difficult to redo all the map with 1:10 scale, it will require an impossible job.

Some people haven't done some simple maths to conclude how much work this is...

Yeah You're right, 1:10 scale seems to be good.
Liechtenstein, Denmark, Moldavia, Macedonia, Switzerland, Austria, Latvia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania and Estonia are too small, because 1:19 scale is very short...

I suppose some people don't understand what scale really means in either a mathematical or realistic sense. By changing from 1:19 to 1:10 you are quite literally many hundreds of km to the game. I believe we are at about 5% scale at 1:19 so 200 km is more like 10.5 km in the game. If the team switched to 1:10 or 10% scale you add 9.5 km to that journey, but that isn't just limited to the distance between origin and destination, It's a map wide change and you start to realize a lot the compromises that you needed to make on the small scale no longer are needed and that you have to add in quite a lot to make up for the empty space you have added in. The biggest issue is always going to be work time as you increase scale the more time you need to expend on the map and not everyone has that kind of time to finish that extra work.
