Hello there,

Google Chrome is be known to open multiple connections when download files. Use Firefox is better.

Using Vivaldi here. It was always ok to download 2 files at a time.
Now trying to download 2nd file - BLOCKED!

Chromium-based web browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera GX, Vivaldi) have been known to open multiple connections while downloading files, thereby making our website think that you are trying to download too many files at once. After the block expires automatically (in a few hours) try using a different web browser like Mozilla Firefox.

There hasn´t been a problem downloading with Vivaldi so far and I won´t change my browser because of "problems" downloading some mod files from ProMods with 300 k/bits

I guess it´s ProMods part to sort this one out ...

We are working on a fix for it but it will take a good few months at least before it is ready

I'm using firefox. Also managed to download 6 files, 2 at the time, pushed for 7 and 8, went back into game, tab out to se the progress and the progress were "you been blocked" So for how many hours are the "ban" for?

What web browser are you using? Are you using any download accelerators?

Yep, using Chrome here too. I've never had the issue before but have read of others experiencing it. No download accelerators.

I'm a bit hacked off right now as I followed ALL instructions with regards to dowloading the mod files via Firefox but the server decided to lock me out when I went to download the second file. I did read before downloading the problems other people have had downloading 2 files at a time so I decided to do 1 at a time but I was still blocked!!!!... Why as I did nothing wrong??? I also disagree with the cooldown period being so damn long!!

Do you have any extensions such as IDM or Download Accelerator enabled?

The blocking mechanism is fully automated, so if the system detects suspected abuse of the servers it will automatically act and block (and respectively unblock after several hours)
