Why the need to rely on DLC's for ProMods?

I got a question that i want to ask and since its impossible to write to ProMods on FB, i will ask here..
What is the reasons of forcing to buy DLC's just to use ProMods? like, the mod is free but from another viewpoint it changes to: our mod is free but only if you buy 40-70€ worth of DLCs..

So, so the question is, isnt it possible to make the mod accessiable for all without need of buying DLC?

So, thats only because of ProMods team using assets and such from the DLC's?
I wanted to try out Project Balkans, but it wouldnt work without promods and then promods doesnt work without the DLC's so thats something that sucks.

Those DLCs provide A LOT of good quality assets + our map is connected with DLC roads (connecting them took some time too).
Basically all maps for this game require all DLCs now. There are barely any players without them, so we can't lower our mod's quality only for that small group of players.

Project Balkans probably use DLC assets too. SCS delivers cool stuff, we use it

so, if i play ETS2MP (TruckersMP), would people see the DLC map exspansions but they will see its locked while others go thru it? (Without ProMods)
also, i wish that TruckersMP would make a server for those with ProMods

Yes. In TruckersMP, you'll be able to drive on the maps you own. Others will be able to drive through the barriers (they don't see those barriers, only you, obviously).
It may never happen but nobody knows it actually.

The community moves forward based on DLC's. 90% of all ETS2 players own all three DLC's, that is our target market.
Our mod contains models and map areas from those DLC's so it's impossible to make a version without the requirement.

Plus you Can get all 3 map DLC for about 10-20 euros doing the sales.

And if one managed to save up enough money to buy a PC, one should be able to save up money for the DLC's too

There are people who have enough money for a new PC but do not have money for the DLC because they do not think they are as valuable as a PC
