Good Day

I've been using the Volvo VNL 670 mod made by Aradeth and it did work on ETS 2 with Promods 2.25 for a long while.

Just recently it crashed to the desktop and after some searching, I found out the problem was the Volvo truck mod. But I want to know if someone can explain this error message that is causing it to crash to the desktop. It reads as follows:

00:04:29.467 : <ERROR> [resource_task] Can not open '/model/flare/vehicle_brakel.pmd'
00:04:29.467 : <ERROR> [model] Model descriptor '/model/flare/vehicle_brakel.pmd' is malformed.
00:04:29.467 : <ERROR> [fs] Failed to open file "/model/flare/vehicle_brakel.pmg" in the read_only mode
00:04:29.467 : <ERROR> [resource_task] Can not open '/model/flare/vehicle_brakel.pmg'
00:04:29.467 : <ERROR> [model] Model geometry '/model/flare/vehicle_brakel.pmg' is malformed.

I tried looking it up and it explained about missing model folders, but when I download the mod, it doesn't have the files. I redownloaded it and it's the same result, no files named "vehicle_brakel.pmg" or "vehicle_brakel.pmd".

Is there something I must edit, remove or add to solve the problem?

I am currently playing on ETS2 version 1.30.1.6s with Promods 2.25 and the Volvo VNL 670 v1.5.2 for ETS2 mod made by Aradeth.

It means this model is outdated a lot and you should wait for an update or you could try fixing yourself, if you have any clue about it.

Okay. I managed to get v1.5.3. Even though it is made for ATS, it works for ETS2 as well. I'm still testing it to see if it works without any errors, but thanks for the answer. I'll wait till he releases a new version for ETS2.

I dont know if you are aware but the Volvo "VNL670 from Aradeth" is available via STEAM since along time ago alike "12 Apr, 2016" and was updated, again via STEAM to the v1.5.3 at Aug 17, 2017.

As you probably know the updates are downloading automatic at STEAM, easiest as by using it as an external mod so to say!

Does the VNL 670 v1.5.3 work on ETS 1.30?

Yes it is.

Okay. I drove it for 10 000 km on freight trips with no problems. Only problem with v1.5.3, is that if you select the bonnet mirrors, it cannot load the Kenworth versions of it and will crash to desktop. Apart from that, the Volvo VNL mod works and is a very good mod.

One of the best truck mods!

My favorite actually, drove the most distance with it at the game!

I just checked, I dont find any VOLVO VNL for ETS2 on Steam Workshop.
