Is G-Sync worth ?

Hi!
I built a personal desktop for playing and streaming. I am looking at a g-sync monitor 1440p high refresh, so that higher resolutions puts more work onto the graphics card.
Specs:
Ryzen 7 1700x 3.4ghz
16GB 3200(8Gbx2)
GTX 1080ti
Will I benefit from being able to sync frames per second to refresh rate of monitor? I usually have to play with v-sync otherwise above 60fps, i get significantly noticeable stutters (driving isn't smooth). I always play maximum out settings and that's the point of the build to go max![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Anyone else have a g-sync monitor? Maybe you can tell if it helps in Euro Truck Simulator 2. In my logic there is a lot of movement, so its crucially important for fps to be same as monitor refresh rate right?
Thank you for reading, looking forward for some help - I also couldn't find a topic that exactly meets my search (G-Sync monitor/hardware topic)![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)
